Abstract

Fisetin (7,3,4'-tetrahydroksiflavonol) is a flavonoid compound with various activities as a natural antioxidant. Fisetin has a very low bioavailability of about 10%, this is because of the small water solubility (0.002 mg / ml) and low absorption so that the fetal preparation in oral and dermal dosage forms is limited. One approach to increasing solubility and dissolution rate is nanocrystal technology. Ultasonic is a vibration of sound with a frequency exceeding the limits of human hearing that is above 20 KHz. Characterization of nanocrystal fisetin includes particle size, particle size distribution, zeta potential, particle morphology, crystallinity properties, kinetic solubility and dissolution test. In this research developed fisetin nanokristal by sonication method by using various variations of stabilizer. The selected stabilizer was Sodium Lauryl Sulfate 0.75%, selected Amplitudo 40% with 30 minutes duration of sonication. Particle size 483.4 nm, pistolispersity index 0.544 and zeta potential -63.5 mV, Rendemen with freeze drying method 99.28%, Fisetin stable on 8 weeks storage with particle size 483.4, 549.3 and 788.4 nm, polydispersity index 0.544, 0.612 and 0.694, zeta potential - 64.2, -63.6 and -63.5 mV. XRD results The nanocrystal fisetin is still crystalline, the amount of soluble nanocrystal fisetin in the kinetic solubility test is 9.86 mg of 10 mg added, and the dissolved fetal nanocrystal of the dissolution test is 69.30%.
