Abstract

Leaves beans seven jurai (Phaseolus lunatus Linn) empirically efficacious as the treatment of fever. This study aims to prove the antipyretic effects of ethanol extract of leaves beans seven jurai to white male rats wistar that vaccines induced DTP-HB-Hib. This is study used 25 white male rats wistar were divided into 5 groups, namely negative control (CMC Na), positive control (asetaminofen dose of 45 mg/kg BB), and the treatment group (28,35 mg/kg BB, 56,7 mg/kg BB and 113,4 mg/kg BB). Rats fever induced with vaccine DPT-HB-Hib dose 1 ml/kg BB on intramuscular. Rectal temperature of rats was measured every 30 minutes for 2 hours after oral administration. Decrease in temperature of rats analyzed by One-way ANOVA (p<0,05). The result showed that extracts ethanol leaves beans seven jurai antipyretic has an effect. The results of measurement of body temperature decrease leaves beans seven jurai have antipyretic activity and the effective dose of for extract of leaves the seven jurai leaf is 113,4 mg/kg BB rats compared with the negative control of CMC Na.
