Abstract

Resveratrol has antioxidant compounds that are difficult to dissolve in water and the ability of low bioavailability to increase percutaneous transport needs to be formulated in the form of nanoemulgel. This research intend to formulating the nanoemulsi resveratrol and understanding the effects of enhancer Transcutol CG and the viscosity to diffusion profile and the anti oxdidant activity nanoemulgel resveratrol . Nanoemulsion screening was chosen based on the characterization of particle size, potential zeta, drug loading, percent transmittance. Nanoemulsion was then inclined into gelling agent HPMC K4M viscosity of 100 dPas and 300 dPas. Nanoemulgel was characterized including viscosity, antioxidant activity, diffusion test and its stability to temperature by the Freeze Thaw test. Data was analyzed using Design Expert to determine the effect on each factor on the main effects and interactions of the two factors. The selected oil components, surfactants and cosurfactants were Capryol, Kolliphor, and PEG 400. The results showed that the selected components were oil: Smix 4: 6 ratio with surfactant: 2: 1 ratio cosurfactant inclused in HPMC K4M gel 100 dPas concentration 3% and 300 dPas concentration 3.4%. Changes in viscosity affect decreases while enhancers affect the increase of the cumulative and total AUC values, changes in viscosity affect the increase while enhancers affect the decrease in antioxidant activity. From the results of the analysis it was suggested that the viscosity of 100 dPas with Trancutol CG with a concentration of 8%. .
