Abstract

Sambiloto plant is one of kind of plant which used to be medicine herbal. Sambiloto leaf contains of compounds alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, and tanin which have activity as antifungal. Purpose of this research is to know activity of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and water fraction from ethanolic extract of sambiloto leaf as antifungal against Candida albicans ATCC 10231. Extraction was done with soxhletation method with solvent 70% ethanol followed by fractionation with n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and water. The test was done use diffusion method with concentrations 50%, 25%, 12,5% and dilusion method with concentrations 50%, 25%, 12,5%, 6,25%, 3,12%,1,56%, 0,78%,0,39%, 0,20%, and 0,10%. Result of diffusion method is fraction of ethyl acetate has biggest resistor power against Candida albicans ATCC 10231. Minimum Kill Concentration of ethyl acetate fraction which can kill Candida albicans ATCC 10231 is concentration 12,5% with dilusion method.
