Abstract

Starfruit is one of the plants that contain saponins, flavonoids, and tannins are efficacious as acne medication.The study purposes were made preparations of starfruit extracts cream with base variations of stearic acid and triethanolamin resulting good cream. Cream were made from starfruit extracts using fusion method by mixing the phase of oil and water.Starfruit extracts cream were made with concentration of stearic acid and triethanolamin, the formula I (12%: 2%), formula II (7%: 7%) and formula III (2%: 12%). The created creams further done physical quality testing includes of test of organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, dispersive and adhesion power. The data are statistically processing with SPSS 17 using One Way ANOVA. The results were showed that starfruit extracts cream with base variations stearic acid and triethanolamin in the making of extract cream of starfruit(Averrhoabilimbi L.) was influenced on the cream physical quality.Formula I with a variation of stearic acid and triethannolamin (12%: 2%) met the best physical quality test.
