Abstract

Job performance is the result of work achieved in carrying out the tasks assigned based on skills, experience and seriousness. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the compensation and leadership style on job performance through the mediation of work stress. This research using purposive sampling method. The research was conducted at Hospital Dr. Moewardi in May 2015. The research sample of 200 respondents. Analysis of the data by using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results show: the variable compensation was a negative significant effect on work stress, variable compensation was a negative significant effect on job performance, leadership style variable was a negative significant effect on work stress, leadership style variable was a positive significant effect on job performance, work stress variable was a negative significant effect on job performance, work stress variables do not mediate variable compensation and leadership style on job performance.
