Abstract

Fast disintegrating tablet (FDT) is a tablet which is placed in the mouth, crushed or dissolved less than 60 seconds by the saliva without the need for liquid water and provide fast action. Dimenhidrinat an H1 receptor antagonist compounds that competitively inhibit receptor dimenhidrinat is included antihistamine drugs commonly used to treat nausea and vomiting in travel or motion sickness with doses customarily 25mg-50 mg for one drinks and 100mg for each day. This study aims to know the effect of the combination of effervescent superdisintegrant primellose® and materials on the physical properties of fast disintegrating tablet and to make a comparison dimenhidrinat superdisintegrant primellose® combinations and materials in order to obtain fast disintegrating effervescent tablet dimenhidrinat most good. This research was conducted by direct felts with formula from the resulting evaluation table tablet that weight uniformity, friability, hardness, disintegration time, disintegration time, wetting time, and test the taste response. The results showed the combination superdisintegran tprimellose and effervescent material can provide the physical properties of the preparation penngaruh FDT dimenhidrinat ie increasing fragility and decreases upon wetting, hardness and disintegration time in vivo and in vitro. The combination primellose ® and effervescent ingredients in the formula III with primellose® highest concentration and lowest effervescent materials provide the best formula. Keywords: FDT.
