Abstract

Watershed (DAS) Keduang is a watershed that has the largest area in Wonogiri. Agricultural activities such as the use of inorganic fertilizers can contribute Keduang surrounding watershed pollution load. This study aimed to analyze the content of nitrite, nitrate, the number of colonies Nitrobacter sp. on agricultural wastewater and river water Keduang and analyze the relationship between bacteria Nitrobacter sp. in transforming nitrite to nitrate. Sampling points in this study conducted at four sampling points are different, 1) agricultural outlet, 2) before a meeting with agricultural waste, 3) meeting of agricultural wastewater with river water, 4) after the mixing of wastewater agriculture with water of the river, in the area Pengkol farming village, District Slogohimo, Wonogiri. The study was conducted in April-June 2016 parameter analysis method nitrites, nitrates and bacteria Nitrobacter sp. used is based on SNI by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. From the results, levels of nitrite in the sample on agricultural outlet has the smallest level that is equal to 0,0632 while the sample at a point after the mixing agricultural waste water with river water has the highest levels compared to the other that is equal to 0,1382. While nitrate levels in the outlet point of the farm has the smallest level that is equal to 0,6619 while the sample at the point of mixing between agricultural waste water with river water levels are highest at 0,7153. The results of the analysis Jjumlah bacterial colonies to the sampling point 1) outlet agriculture as much as 457 colonies, 2) sebeum meeting with agricultural waste as much as 330 colonies, 3) meeting of agricultural wastewater with river water as many as 472 colonies 4) after the mixing of wastewater agriculture to river water as many as 651 colonies. After statistical analysis using Chi-Square test, obtained significant value of 0.000. Hence the significance of 0,000 < 0,05 then Ho is rejected, which means that there is a relationship between bacteria Nitrobacter sp on agricultural wastewater and river water Keduang in transforming nitrite to nitrate.
