Abstract

Pandan wangi leaves was medicinal plants which contained alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid, tannin, and polyphenol which had high antioxidant activity and potential as a hepatoprotective. This experiment was conducted to determined the effect of ethanol extract pandan wangi leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) on rate of SGOT and SGPT and to determined potency of extract ethanol pandan wangi leaves to inhibited necrosis of liver cells in male rats wistar were induced isonazid and rifampicin. Extraction method was used maceration solvent of ethanol 70%. The experiment used thirty of rats were divided in 6 groups. All groups except group I was induced by isoniazid and rifampicin 10.8 mg / 200 g BB of rats. Group 1 as a normal control, group II as a negative control, group III as a positive control were given a Curcuma 3.6 mg / 200 g body weight. Group IV, V, and VI as the treatment group were given a test solution of ethanol extract pandan wangi leaves 8.64 mg / 200 g BB, 17.28 mg / 200 g BB, and 25.92 mg / 200 g BW for 28 days. All groups on days 0, 14th and 28th were declared SGOT and SGPT. The results obtained then were analyzed by One Way Anova. The results of experiment showed that ethanol extract pandan wangi leaves with a dose of 8.64 mg / 200 g BB, 17.28 mg / 200 g BB, and 25.92 mg / 200 g BB can inhibited the increase in SGOT and SGPT rates, and able to inhibit the cell necrosis liver in male rats wistar strain were induced isoniazid and rifampicin. The Dose of ethanol extract pandan wangi leaves was most effective is 25.92 mg / 200 g Body weight because as comparable to the positive control.
